The educational program "6B02204 – Archeology and History", implemented by the Department of History at Shakarim University, has been developed taking into account current trends in the development of historical and archaeological science, the needs of national and regional labor markets, public demand, as well as the educational interests of students and the scientific potential of the faculty of the department.
The faculty of the Department of History includes experienced scientists and teachers with high qualifications in the fields of history, archeology, ethnology, cultural studies and humanitarian studies. Active research activities, participation in archaeological expeditions, scientific and educational projects, involvement of students in field research and analytical work are among the priorities of the department.
A distinctive feature of the Archaeology and History program is the combination of fundamental historical training with practical archaeological skills. The interdisciplinary approach makes it possible to train specialists who are in demand in research institutes, museums, archives, cultural centers, expert organizations and in the field of historical and cultural heritage protection.
The training is aimed at developing competencies in the field of archaeological field research, description and analysis of material sources, reconstruction of historical processes, historical and cultural expertise, interdisciplinary interaction and academic communication.
The program is distinguished by its scientific and practical orientation: archaeological and museum practices, student participation in expeditions, scientific conferences, grant projects and competitions are provided.
